The esteemed scholar, Dr. Sanaa Shalan (also known as Bint Naeema), the honorary president of the Peace and Friendship International Organization, issued a resounding declaration today.
“In the hallowed struggle and legitimate defense of their Palestinian homeland, Gaza has our unwavering support,” stated Dr. Al-Shalan. She went on to condemn the ruthless Zionist aggression against Palestinian civilians in Gaza, an act that can only be seen as a stark testament to the brutality of this occupation. It is high time for this occupation to end and for it to depart from Palestine, never to return. We also decry the cutting off of water, food, electricity, fuel, and communications from Gaza’s civilian population. These actions violate the most fundamental principles of war, justice, and human mercy. Furthermore, their bombardment of civilians, the weak, the wounded, and prisoners (including women, children, the elderly, the ill, and the disabled) violates international agreements and human ethics. It is an abhorrent insult to the noble Palestinian martyrs’ bodies.
While the leaders of colonialism, injustice, and darkness around the world stand beside Israel, we declare our support for justice, sacred struggle, and legitimate resistance to defend the land and the people. We stand in solidarity with the valiant fighters of Gaza, Palestine, and the world against the global Zionist aggression. We call upon the world as a whole to take a genuine stance in support of the just Palestinian cause, to cease Zionist attacks on Gaza and all Palestinian, Arab, and Islamic lands, and to open the crossings that have besieged Gaza. Israel, the occupier, must be compelled to allow relief convoys to provide aid, medical treatment, water, food, and shelter to the wounded and those trapped under the relentless shelling in Gaza, without desecrating the bodies of the noble Palestinian martyrs in this unequal war.
We also implore international organizations, Arab nations, and influential individuals to pressure their countries and the international community to halt Zionist military operations against Gaza and to bolster Gaza’s resilience by providing support and aid to strengthen their presence. This will fund the continuity of their struggle against the common enemy of humanity: The Zionist occupation. What is occurring now, with the relentless assault on Gaza, amounts to a collective annihilation of an entire population, mostly composed of children, women, and the vulnerable. All this unfolds before the eyes of the world in a disgraceful silence, in the face of the longest and most savage modern-day colonization of a steadfast Palestinian people who refuse to relinquish their rights.
Glory to the resilient people of Palestine, and all-out support to the valiant Gaza and its freedom fighters. Shame and dishonor to Israel, Zionism, their supporters, and their cohorts everywhere. This is the stance of the free Palestinian heroes, from yesterday until the day they rise, for victory comes only from God Almighty, while disgrace is the fate of the cowardly and treacherous.
