Today, Friday, the Israeli occupation forces blew up the “Turkish Friendship” hospital in the central Gaza Strip, while the Israeli army continues its military operations in the Strip since last Tuesday with the collapse of the ceasefire agreement.

Scenes showed the Israeli army blowing up the Turkish Friendship Hospital in the Netzarim axis in the Gaza Strip.

On 11 May 2024, the Israeli occupation forces turned the hospital into an Israeli military barracks with dozens of military vehicles and earth fortifications in its vicinity.

The hospital consisted of eight buildings, with a bed capacity of 272 beds, and a staff of 248 health staff, providing medical services to more than 10,000 cancer patients in the Gaza Strip.

At dawn last Tuesday, Israel resumed its military operations against the Gaza Strip, ending a fragile truce that lasted for about two months, which began in January 2025 with Egyptian-Qatari-American mediation, and carried out a series of intensive air raids and fire belts on several areas in the Strip.

According to the statistics of the Ministry of Health, the Israeli shelling caused the death and injury of more than a thousand people, amid Arab and international condemnations of this attack, which violated the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli military also said its forces on Thursday began a ground operation in the northern Gaza Strip as raids continued across the territory.
