Australian billionaire Andrew Forrest has donated $10 million to support Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, Anadolu Agency reported.
The agency quoted a statement issued by the NGO Forest Mindero as saying that Forrest will donate $10 million to the World Central Kitchen and the United Nations World Food Program.
“Mendiro will not stand idly by while children die of hunger.”
In June, the Australian billionaire proposed the establishment of a “safe gate system” on the border between the Gaza Strip and Israel, through which 10,000 tons of humanitarian aid could be delivered to Palestinians daily through 130 trucks through three gates.
Billionaire Forrest has previously pledged more than $6 million in financial aid to the Gaza Strip.
